Republic Records

Republic Records is an American record label owned by Universal Music Group (UMG), with headquarters in New York City. Founded by Avery Lipman and Monte Lipman as an independent label in 1995, it was acquired by UMG in 2000.

On 2020-08-26 it was announced that Angelina was signed by Republic Records as their "highest priority new artist".[1] Between 2020-11 and 2023-12, they released nine original songs and six cover songs together, including songs on two EPs. Angelina apparently left the label by early 2025.

Events leading to her signing in mid 2020

After getting a lot of attention worldwide from her audition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" at America's Got Talent: The Champions, she was contacted by the production duo "Stargate". They soon meet, and in a series of meetings within a couple of weeks recorded several songs, including "Million Miles" and "7th Heaven". One of the producers played the song "Million Miles" for Monte Lipman, who then wanted to sign Angelina to Republic.[2]
