BTW, I am male ("he/him", as they say), if you want to use my preferred pronouns when you refer to me. FYI, you can use something like {{gender:dcljr|he|she|they}} (the output: he) in a talk page comment to tailor gender-specific language to what a user has selected in their preferences, if any.

Getting an account

If you want to request an account here (so you can edit pages), please send an e-mail to <1@2.3>, with the numbers replaced by dcljr, angelina-jordan and net, respectively, and explain briefly who you are and how you plan to contribute to the wiki. Because there are so few editors here and only one administrator, I'm going to have to be pretty careful about whom I give accounts to. (Try not to take that personally.) It will definitely help if I already "know you" from somewhere else online (e.g., YouTube, where I am Donald Lancon Jr). Once a somewhat active editing community develops here (assuming it ever does), I can relax my iron grip on the account creation process. But for now…

Known issues

The administrator of this wiki is aware of the following issues. He may or may not be working on them.

  • fonts are not sized well for desktop or mobile in many skins
  • … (lots of other stuff to be added here)
  • no notification system ✔ Echo extension enabled on 2025-08-15
  • logo not defined for Vector 2022 skin ✔ logo handling updated on 2025-08-25
  • PNG logo for Vector 2022 skin needs to be converted to SVG (with better colors) ✔ done 2025-09-07
  • need a wordmark for Vector 2022 skin (currently using default sitename text)
  • some existing pages are showing up as redlinks in some contexts

The long-term plan is to fix these, or at least make them better.

TODO

  • update to latest MW version and install Extension:PageForms↗
  • compress old revisions to save (a lot of) space
    • plan to initially compress revisions older than the oldest article on the wiki
    • assuming no weirdness is observed, can then compress all revisions that aren't the current ones
  • make sure all templates…
    1. at least call {{doc}}, even if there's no /doc subpage to show ✔ as of 2025-09-14
    2. have existing /doc subpages containing at least a category link to Category:Incomplete template documentation (see Special:UncategorizedTemplates and Special:WantedTemplates)
    3. have at least one Usage example showing all parameters the template supports
    4. are categorized at least into Category:Templates (thus Special:UncategorizedTemplates is empty)
    5. have explanatory text (an intro), a Usage section, and an Examples section with at least one minimally helpful example
    6. are categorized by their overall purpose, the way they handle input, where they can or can't be used, and the nature of their output
    7. have enough documentation that Category:Incomplete template documentation is empty
  • better naming system for YT pages
  • create a namespace for summaries of published articles
    • naming it "Article" would be problematic, since ns0 pages are already called "articles" — maybe "Article summary" instead, with "Art" as an alias?
    • maybe "Summary" to make it more general (can then include summaries of, say, individual YT videos)
  • create other namespaces for other special types of content? (see also /Ideas)
  • adjust floating of Timeline calendars depending on skin (float in Vector 2022, not in others due to right-floated ToC) ✘ no longer relevant since I've removed the ToC entirely there, but same kind of thing might be needed in the future
  • set up preloading of content for things like songs (namespace?) ✘ no longer relevant in the case of songs, since Most2dot0 did the work on that — but see AJW:Extensions#Non-bundled extensions being considered
  • re-implement templates like {{tc}} and {{all-of}} that might take an arbitrary number of inputs as modules
  • implement things like {{jump link list|from=2006|to=2025}}
