This template links to a YouTube channel or one of its tabs ("About", "Videos", etc.).
The name of this template is based on the phrase "youtube channel".
Usage

In the second form, use only one of channel, c, user, or @ (which are checked in that order). These correspond to the different formats used in YouTube channel URLs. See the documentation of Template:ytc-id for details.
The value of tab should be lowercase and correspond to a valid tab name in YouTube URLs. Currently these are videos, shorts, streams, releases, playlists, community, and store. (The tab streams is shown on the page as "Live", so either name can be used and the template will translate between them as necessary.)
The about tab, which used to exist, has been replaced by a pop-up window (on the desktop interface, anyway), but can still be linked to using the same syntax as the other true tabs, so about is also a valid value of tag.
The parameter name can be used to specify the name of the channel (to be shown as the text that is linked), but this will be overridden if you use linktext (even if its value is empty).

Bad calls

All of these link to the YouTube homepage because none of them provide the template any usable input to form a URL.
