Documentation

This template creates links to Google Translate.

The name is, of course, based on the phrase "google translate".

If you're looking for a "greater than" character (>), use the HTML entitiy: >

Usage

• {{gt|url=|lang=|linktext=}}
• {{gt|url=|from=|to=|linktext=}}
• {{gt|text=|lang=|linktext=}}
• {{gt|text=|from=|to=|linktext=}}

The parameter from is synonymous with lang; they both specify the ISO code for the source language (which defaults to no, for Norwegian). The parameter to is the code for the destination language (which defaults to en, for English). If url is specified, the link is to Google's translation of the webpage at that URL. Otherwise, the link is to Google's translation of the snippet of text specified by text.
