This template produces the text "a.k.a." followed by a non-breaking space and then whatever input was given to the template. It is intended to be a quicker alternative to typing "a.k.a.{{nbsp}}whatever". The point is that a line break should not happen after a period (.) that doesn't actually end a sentence.

Usage

• {{aka|text}}
• {{aka|text|nodef=y}}

nodef can be used to suppress the explanation ("definition") of the abbreviation "a.k.a.", which is by default shown in a tooltip.

• {{aka|foo}} ⇒ a.k.a. foo
• {{aka|foo|nodef=y}} ⇒ a.k.a. foo

"Hover" on the text "a.k.a." in the first three examples to see the tooltip that is suppressed in the last example..
