Lilyhammer
Lilyhammer is black comedy TV series starring Steven Van Zandt, created for Netflix and NRK. It is composed of 3 seasons of 8 episodes each.
At age 8, Angelina had a guest appearance as a bar singer in the final episode of the third season, performing "I'm a Fool to Want You".[1] In addition she contributed "Gloomy Sunday" as a background song in the episode.[2] While the whole season became available at Netflix on 2014-11-21, Angelina's episode was aired by NRK only on 2014-12-17.[3]
Steven Van Zandt's involvement
Steven Van Zandt↗ (aka Little Steven) is an American musician and actor, probably best known for playing in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band↗, and for his role of the fictional character Silvio Dante↗ in the TV series The Sopranos↗.
For Lilyhammer, he not only played the main character Frank Tagliano, but also was involved in the writing and production of the series. In addition, he was directing the last episode of season 8, in which Angelina performed.
Van Zandt knew Angelina and her singing talent before she even applied for Norske Talenter. There is footage available, indicating that Angelina auditioned by the fall of 2013 for him.[4] It's also reported that her family asked him if he would think that Angelina should apply for Norske Talenter, and that his positive answer was likely relevant for the decision to let her audition for the 2014 season.[5][6]
Angelina's involvement
Angelina likely auditioned for Van Zandt by the fall of 2013, singing "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" ontop of a track with her own voice and a guitar.[4]
Her bar scene performing "I'm a Fool to Want You" was likely recorded in the last week of May 2014.[1][7][8] She also contributed "Gloomy Sunday" as background music for a scene, which was only part of the Norwegian Netfilx version of the episode.[2]
Her participation was only made public when she appeared at a red carpet event at the end of October that year.[9]
