Documentation

This template is used to attribute uploaded YouTube thumbnail images to their corresponding YouTube videos and channels. It should only be used in the "Summary" section of pages in the File namespace.

The name of the template is based on the phrase "youtube video thumbnail summary".

Usage

The value of the v parameter should be the YouTube ID number (i.e., what immediately follows "v=" in the URL) of the video the thumbnail corresponds to.

Only one of c, channel and user should be used, depending on which form is used in the URL of the channel. Alternatively, none of these can be used if you don't want to link to the channel for some reason (for example, if it has been deleted).

In cases where the video ID contains underscores, these will, by default, be shown as spaces in the page title. This behavior can be overridden by using the parameter displaytitle set to any non-whitespace value. For example, if displaytitle=y is used in this template on the page File:YTjnnzbdt4 RE.jpg, then the page title will appear as File:YTjnnzbdt4_RE.jpg.
