Template:Down arrow/doc

Documentation

This template just provides a quick way of getting a downward pointing double arrow for use in particularly long template examples where the typical rightward pointing double arrow (as seen in the example below) doesn't work as well.

The intended usage is to substitute the template (the second usage case below), so the single character will replace the template call when the page is saved.

Usage

• {{down arrow}}
• {{subst:down arrow}}

Examples

• {{down arrow}} ⇒ ⇓
• {{subst:down arrow}} ⇒ ⇓

The results of both of these are the same to the reader. Subsequent editors of the page, however, will still see the {{down arrow}} template call when the first form is used, but will see the ⇓ character when the second form is used.
