Documentation

This template links dates and formats them visually according to users' preferences. If no date is specified, it uses the current date (which is probably not what you want, since the link target would change each day).

The name of the template is based on the word "date".

Usage

• {{d|YYYY-MM-DD}}
• {{d|YYYY-MM-DD|self=char}}

The second form creates a link to an anchor on the same page; it is mainly for linking to related dates from entries in our Timeline. The value char can be any string containing at least one non-whitespace character.

• {{d}} ⇒ 2026-01-26
• {{d|2020-11-06}} ⇒ 2020-11-06
• {{d|2020-11-06|self=y}} ⇒ 2020-11-06
