"It's Magic" is a song written in 1947 by Jule Styne (music) and Sammy Cahn (lyrics) for the film Romance on the High Seas↗, released the following year. It was sung by Doris Day in the film, and was later used as the theme song for her 1950s radio series The Doris Day Show↗. The song has been covered by many artists, inculding Dinah Washington for her 1959 album What a Diff'rence a Day Makes!↗ and Shirley Bassey for her 1963 EP In Other Words…↗.[1]
Angelina recorded the song in late 2017 with the Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps for the album It's Magic, which was released on 2018-06-15[2]. Angelina presented this version live with all other songs from the album at its premiere concert on 2018-06-16, a day after the album release. She likely also performed it the next month at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival, but there are only recordings from a rehearsal and the soundcheck publicly known.
