Allsang på Grensen
Allsang på Grensen [Sing-Along on the Border] was a weekly musical TV series in Norway that aired on TV 2 during the summer months from 2007 to 2022. Modeled on a similar Swedish program called Allsång på Skansen↗, the show presented live musical performances recorded at Fredriksten in Halden, Norway, on the border with Sweden. In the years that Angelina appeared on the show, each episode was recorded on Wednesday and broadcast the following day. True to the show's title, both the live audiences and the TV viewers were encouraged to sing along with the songs — the lyrics were distributed on paper to the audiences and shown on-screen during the TV broadcasts.
Angelina appeared on the show four times, in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2022, performing a total of six songs.
2014
Angelina first appeared on the show in the first episode of the eighth season, when she was 8, six weeks after winning Norske Talenter.[1] She sang "What a Difference a Day Makes", accompanied by a small live band and backup singers.[2] The performance was recorded on 2014-07-02 and broadcast on 2014-07-03.[1]
2016
In her second appearance, when she was 10, Angelina performed "Feeling Good".[3] The show was recorded on 2016-06-29 and broadcast on TV 2 (and posted to her Official YouTube channel) on 2016-06-30.[4]
2017
In Angelina's third appearance, when she was 11, she performed "Something's Got a Hold on Me"[5] and "It's Now or Never".[6]
2022
Angelina appeared on the show for the final time in 2022, when she was 16, singing "Bohemian Rhapsody"[7] and "I Have Nothing"[8] on the first episode of the show's final season.[9] Her performances were recorded on 2022-06-22 and broadcast on 2022-06-23.
She actually sang "I Have Nothing" twice, with less than two minutes separating the two (very similar) performances. The reason for this is not clear. It has been suggested that she was requested to sing it again because of technical problems during the recording of the first performance, but raw footage taken at the event seems to show Angelina calling over the "emcee" before anything was said to her. Following a brief exchange, the emcee announced that Angelina wanted to sing the song again.[10]
