Cargo problem: "Cannot access the database"
I already described this at Template talk:Performance-devel, but the problem can be reproduced even easier, by choosing "Cargo data" from the "Wiki tools" menu of any regular Wiki page, like this one. --Most2dot0 (talk) 11:15, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- Should be fixed now. The problem was that the nifty super-random password my browser picked for me had a
$in it, making the software interpolate a (nonexistent) string into the password. Fixed the configuration file so that won't happen again. And using a different nifty super-random password. (BTW, not happy about the password showing up in the backtrace. That seems like a huge security hole.) - ajwikiadmin (talk) 00:44, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Cargo Permissions
I think I need to have the 'recreatecargodata' permission (see mw:Extension:Cargo/Storing_data#Permissions) to be able to create and modify the actual database from the Cargo templates. Currently I don't see the "Web-based tab" described earlier in mw:Extension:Cargo/Storing_data#Creating_or_recreating_a_table. --Most2dot0 (talk) 09:09, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
