Mery Zamani
Mery Zamani is Angelina's maternal grandmother (her mother's mother). She is an Iranian artist and poet (working under the pseudonym Mosarz) who, like Angelina, was a child prodigy. + Mery's children include Sara Astar (Angelina's mother) and Michael Astar (Angelina's uncle and manager). It is not known whether she has any other children. Mery lived for a time in Japan (where Sara and Michael grew up) with Angelina's maternal grandfather, ! who has been described as Japanese. + +
Mosarz
Mery has created art and poetry under the name Mosarz since at least 2009-12-26, when she posted to Facebook↗ that a website was under construction at Mosarzart.com↗ (no website has existed there since at least 2020). !
In a post to TikTok by @mosarzm↗ on 2025-05-08, Mery explained the name in a very poetic way, describing it as "born of the earth and of the stars", and saying, "When I drew my final breath and darkness embraced me, a light fron beyond existence gently and silently whispered a name into the ear of my soul: Mosarz."
She went on to say, "And now, as I look back, I realize this name has always been with me", and explained how the letters have the following meanings:
- "Mo stands for Michael and Michelle—two sacred presences, pillars of faith
- S stands for Sara—[…][note 1]
- A stands for Angelina, Amelie, Athena, Eris—children of light[…]
- R stands for Raphael—the angel who said in silence
- Z stands for Zamani—my father's name[…]"
Michael and Sara are her children; Michelle is Michael's partner, likely his wife. Athena and Eris are Michelle's and Michael's children. Amelie is likely another name of Juliette[1]. It is unclear whether her allusion to the archangel Raphael↗ is only that or also refers to a family member or other person in Mery's life.
Note that her use of the name Mosarz predates at least Athena and Eris, if not Angelina and some of the other people mentioned here.

The mery zamani↗ channel on YouTube was created on 2012-04-09, and, as of 2024-06-28, has 332 subscribers and a single uploaded video with about 11,600 views.[2] It is not known whether this channel was actually created by Mery herself or by someone on her behalf, but the video contains appearances by Mery's mother and a very young (pre-fame) Angelina, and was recorded in the same house as one or more videos uploaded to the Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz channel,[3] so it seems pretty obvious that the channel is/was owned and operated by Mery or someone in her family.

Another YouTube channel, Mery Zamani Mosarz↗, was created on 2025-05-30. Original uploaded material, like a clip from a rehearsal↗ which was as far it is known only shared in a cropped vertical form before, validate that this is a channel run by Mery or someone close to her family.

Mery posts to TikTok on @yasslayqueenslayforever↗ ("Slay Forever") and @mosarzm↗ ("Mosarz"). She also had used @mosarz.m↗ ("Mosarz") before that account got deleted.
The @mosarzm↗ account was not accessible for a while after Christmas 2024, but re-emerged in early April 2025 with an April Fool's Day↗ joke.
Mery occasionally posts Angelina related content on Instagram as Mosarz↗.
Releases
On 2021-11-10, Mery released the 12-track album Miracle in four different languages (English, Japanese, Norwegian, and Persian), containing poems with background music, on multiple music distribution platforms.[6] +
On 2025-09-09, she released with Angelina the album Secret of the Soul, for which Mery contributed the lyrics of the songs.
