Note: This template is never actually called in the normal course of events, because the string "{{!}}" is handled "natively" by the wiki software (MediaWiki) to provide a literal "pipe" character (|) in contexts where it would otherwise be interpreted as part of wiki markup syntax. So, the only reason this template exists is to document the use of that feature.
