"Always on My Mind" is a song written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James. First recorded and released by Gwen McCrae as the B-side of a single in 1972 (as "You Were Always on My Mind"), the song was also recorded in that same year by Brenda Lee and Elvis Presley. Other artists who enjoyed chart success with the song include John Wesley Ryles (in 1979, rewritten slightly as "You Are Always on My Mind"), Willie Nelson (1982), and Pet Shop Boys (1987).[1]

Performances by Angelina

Angelina has Template:Apparently only sung this song once (on camera, at least), in what Template:Appears to be her family home in Los Angeles, accompanied by Ivan Mendez on acoustic guitar. She dedicated the performance to her maternal grandfather (whom she calls "grandpa"), as he had recently died. His picture is seen throughout the performance on a mobile phone positioned between the Angelina and Ivan. She is sitting in a chair and is not using any external microphone (i.e., the sound is Template:Apparently being picked up by the built-in microphone on the video camera being used to record the performance). The video was posted to her YouTube cover channel on 10 March 2018, when she was 12.[2]
