Documentation

This template creates an "anchor" at the current location that can serve as a target for incoming links, or for links within the same page (like section headings do). Note that the name of the anchor is shown to the viewer; if you don't want that, use {{anchor-hidden}} instead.

Usage

• {{anchor|anchor name|alternate displayed text}}

Examples

• {{anchor|Anchor}} ⇒ Anchor
• {{anchor|Anchors|Aweigh}} ⇒ Aweigh

These anchors can be targeted by links like [[Page Name#Anchor]] and [[Page Name#Anchors]], respectively (or, if linking within the same page, just [[#Anchor]] and [[#Anchors]]).
