"What a Diff'rence a Day Made" is a 1934 song originally written in Spanish by the Mexican songwriter María Grever under the title "Cuando vuelva a tu lado" ["When I Return to Your Side"]. It is also known in English by several similar titles, including versions with or without the apostrophe in the word "Difference", ending with either "Made" or "Makes", and with or without a final exclamation mark.

The English lyrics of the song were written in 1934 by Stanley Adams; that version was popularized by Dinah Washington in 1959, under the title "What a Diff'rence a Day Makes". (The album the song appeared on was titled What a Diff'rence a Day Makes!.)^{scope: entire paragraph}
