"Shield" is a song written by Angelina with Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen (three songwriters who also wrote "I'm Still Holding Out for You" with Brandon Lowry). It was first released on 2018-11-08, making it her third original song to be officially released after "Oslo" and "What Is Life". (This doesn't count "Back to Black", which featured her own lyrics but used a musical arrangement based on Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson's original.)

Angelina performed the song on the Norwegian TV talk show Skavlan on 2018-11-09,[1][2] immediately following an interview segment[3][4] in which she sang a verse of "Diamonds Are Forever" a cappella.

Other uses of the term
In an interview with Sara immediately following Angelina's victory in the finals of Norske Talenter, the interviewer mentioned the public attention Angelina had been getting and asked her (in Norwegian), "Are you going to shield her?", to which Sara replied, "Absolutely".[5]
A well known Facebook fan group (and associated YouTube channel) adopted the name Angelina Jordan Fan Club - The Shield.[6]
