Mery Zamani

Mery Zamani is Angelina's maternal grandmother (her mother's mother). She is an Iranian artist and poet who, like Angelina, was a child prodigy. Mery's children include Sara Astar (Angelina's mother) and Michael Astar (Angelina's uncle and manager). It is not known whether she has any other children. Mery lived for a time in Japan (where Sara and Michael grew up) with Angelina's maternal grandfather, who was Japanese.

The mery zamani^↗ channel on YouTube was created on 2012-04-09, and, as of 2024-06-28, has 332 subscribers and a single uploaded video with about 11,600 views. It is not known whether this channel was actually created by Mery herself or by someone on her behalf, but the video contains appearances by Mery's mother and a very young (pre-fame) Angelina, and was recorded in the same house as one or more videos uploaded to the Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz channel, so it seems pretty obvious that the channel is/was owned and operated by Mery or someone in her family.

Mery posts to TikTok on @yasslayqueenslayforever^↗ ("Slay Forever") and and @mosarzm^↗ ("Mosarz"). She also had used @mosarz.m^↗ ("Mosarz") before the later, both that account got deleted.

Note: The @mosarzm^↗ account was not accessible for a while after Christmas 2024, but re-emerged on April 1st, 2025, with an April's Fool joke.
