Template:Noop

This template generates an empty nowiki element. It is intended to be used in certain contexts to separate characters that would otherwise be interpreted as wiki markup (see examples below).

Any input to the template is ignored (and so can be used to place short explanatory notes to editors, if that is desired).

The name "noop" stands for "no operation" (i.e., not doing anything).

Note: without the use of this template, the above example would render like this:

• [https://tv2.no/] ⇒ [1]
